Thanks for visiting the Cat Conscious Council website. 

People often ask: why do we have all these cats here at Wintergreen? Most likely a few cats over the years were either lost or abandoned by their owners and because they were not "fixed" they reproduced. One unspayed female and her offspring can produce a minimum of 100 cats in just 7 years. 

Cats "fixed" to date: 63!

Here's a very special fellow found at The Market at Wintergreen (aka Black Rock Market) fall of 2011. He appeared to be feral but turned out to be very tame. Likely abandoned, he responded quickly to loving care and found his forever home with Chris Trotter, manager at The Market. When you see Chris, thank him for rescuing one of our resort cats!
